Thea Dunmire

Thea Dunmire, JD, CIH, CSP

Thea is an experienced EHS professional with over 30 years of experience in implementing and auditing environmental and OH&S management systems.  She is a recognized expert in interpreting ISO management system requirements.  She helped write several of the management system standards – including ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ANSI Z10 and ISO 19011.

Thea got her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa in biomedical engineering and worked as an industrial hygienist in industry for several years before getting her law degree from Syracuse University.  Prior to launching ENLAR, Thea was an attorney at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and partner at the law firm Dickinson Wright in Chicago.

Thea is an active member of the Auditing Roundtable and the American Industrial Hygiene Association and is an AIHA Fellow.  She is a professional speaker and trainer who focuses on helping EHS professionals understand how they can use management system standards in their organizations to achieve improved EHS performance.
